Check in

Use this app if you wish to let someone (or a group of people) know that you are "ok". Open the app once a day and click on the "Check in" button and you are done.

There is also a widget that you can add to your Android home screen that will give you a visual prompt to check in each day.

Check up

Use this app to check up on someone (or a group of people). The app will show who has not yet checked in that day.

There is also a widget that can be used to show a count of how many people are still to check in and will show all ok when everybody has checked in for that day.

Install

To install the app, open the "Play Store" app on your Android Phone, click the "Search" icon in the bottom right and search for "Eggysoft" or use one of the following links:

Using the app

Launch the app by clicking on the app icon or the home screen widget (see below for how to set up the widget).

The first time you use the app you will be prompted to sign in using Google.

Make a note of your @gmail email address and Sharing PIN that is shown at the bottom of the screen. You will need to share this with whoever is going to use the Check up app. Only somebody who knows both your @gmail email address and your unique Sharing PIN will be able to see whether or not you have checked in for that day.

Each day, launch the app and click on the Check in button.

Using the home screen widget

The app comes with a home screen widget. This can be a useful reminder if you have not checked in for the day (and will also show you if you have checked in for the day as well). The widget can be added to your home screen in one of two ways:

Sign in using Google on first use of the application

Make a note of your @gmail email address and your unique Sharing PIN

Click the "Check in" button each day

The app comes with a home screen widget. This can be a useful indicator if somebody has not yet checked in for that day. The widget can be added to your home screen in one of two ways:

Sign in using Google on first use


Use the Settings screen (also available via the menu in the top left) to add people who are using the Check in app

Click on the add icon in the bottom right to add somebody

Enter their @gmail email address and Sharing PIN

The Settings screen will show the name of the person (based on their Google profile)

The main screen will show if anybody has not yet checked in for that day

The main screen will show when everybody has checked in for that day
